• We believe that authentic and livable homes and work spaces are achievable at all levels of financial resources

Helmstetler Architects is a progressive architecture and planning firm with a diverse portfolio of award-winning residential, commercial, educational, civic and historic buildings in Creede, South Fork, Alamosa, Salida and other Southern Colorado communities.

A licensed architect with a hands-on building background, Keith Helmstetler AIA is President of Helmstetler Architects. Established in 2005 the firm has a combined expertise in architectural design and construction. As a master carpenter and former owner of a general contracting business for 15 years, Keith has the unique ability to quickly assess the feasibility of key variables – cost, size and quality –of each project and to apply accordingly his architectural knowledge to the construction process, thereby ensuring that your home or building reflects the essential qualities evident in every Helmstetler Architects project: design excellence, superior craftsmanship and conscientious project management.

From a small (up to 1000 square feet) cabin and/or log home remodel near Wolf Creek Ski area, to a midsize (1500 to 4000 square feet) riverfront home design on the Rio Grande or Arkansas rivers, to large custom house designs (5000+ square feet) built adjacent to golf course property at the Rio Grande Club in South Fork, Helmstetler Architects’ residential projects genuinely cover the spectrum of size of property and house, scope of design development services and extent of budget. Which is to say that we believe authentic and livable homes are achievable and affordable at all levels of financial resources. We trust you will agree!
